So it's October already - how did that happen? The nights are drawing in, the heating's on but on the bright side - our oct.18 release is now live! We've made a lot of improvements to our software for estate & letting agents, based on user feedback and feature requests.
In this release we've made significant improvements to our geospatial data. In short, better data = better listing descriptions, and we've made improvements that will benefit agents all over the country.
We've also experimented with creating a product release video - what do you think? In future we're looking at recording real product feedback from estate & letting agents - if you're interested, get in touch!

In brief - what's new in release v1.3?
New: Instant Detailed Underground & Tram Descriptions
In our previous update, we mentioned that we had added detailed descriptions for London Underground stations in zone 1. We've rolled these detailed descriptions out to every Underground, DLR and Overground station in London.
Essentially, this means that if you're writing a property listing in London, our tech will automatically find the nearest stations and describe the fare zone, available lines and popular destinations, to really sell the location of the property. This can be a big timesaver - rather than looking on Google maps, finding the right lines and writing about the station, you can generate all of this instantly with the click of a button.
We've also added functionality to search for the next-nearest station, if more lines are available. Here's an example for 10 Downing Street (although we can't imagine the prime minister using the tube!):
10 Downing Street example:
"The property is a short walk from Westminster Underground Station, which is in zone 1 and served by the Circle, District and Jubilee lines, with frequent services to the City. Embankment Underground Station (zone 1) is also nearby, which is also on the Circle and District lines, but has additional access to the Bakerloo and Northern lines for services to the West End."
New: Automatic Descriptions of Tram Stops
We've also added tram stops for Nottingham and Edinburgh, as living near one can be great for commuting and getting around. Nottingham tram stops also include the detailed descriptions (we'll be adding other trams soon, such as Manchester and Sheffield)
Nottingham Tram example:
"The property is under a mile from Toton Lane Tram stop, with frequent trams to Beeston Centre, QMC, Nottingham Station and Old Market Square."
New: Create location descriptions with just one click
Also in this release is an update to our geocoding technology, which allows you to describe any location in the UK by simply sharing your current location. It works best on your mobile, and it means that you don't need to know the postcode for a property or type it out. Estate agents can create a property listing on the valuation visit! Give it a try in your account and let us know what you think!
New: Detailed Suburb & District Data
We've added detailed suburb and district data for the whole of Great Britain to accurately describe the location of any property that you list. It's fairly easy to describe the nearest town or city, but it's actually quite hard to automatically define areas / districts, as they can be quite subjective. For this reason, we've added functionality so that you can pick the district from a list, so that you can make the most of a property's location.
